Shape of chain strategy and interactive property analytics for major UK fashion retailer
Javelin Group delivered a combination of strategic store network recommendations and a set of supporting interactive dashboards to support Primark’s property team with network decision making.
Strategic recommendations were built based on a set of predictive models that were informed by machine learning software, comprehensive analysis of store performance variables and CAMEO customer segmentation.
These predictive models were combined with a bespoke ‘gravity model’ to assess the likely impact of cannibalisation on existing stores from new openings.
By incorporating these predictive tools into interactive dashboards, the property team can apply the modelling process onto real life scenarios to inform store estate investment decisions.
Javelin Group worked collaboratively with us to validate the strategic recommendations and design the interactive dashboards. We are now actively using these tools to plan the next phase of our property strategy.
