Strategic evaluation of current and optimal store network footprint.
Assessment of geographic spend universe (current and target) informed customer analytics to quantify high and low spending consumer groups for Carpetright.
Practical store-by-store recommendations (e.g. retentions, consolidations, relocations, areas of considerable uplift potential…) aligned to CVA flexibility to best leverage current rental agreements.

Clear, implementable recommendations set out the optimised current and ‘white gap’ location network by format required to meet strategic future business targets.

This insight has been used to inform Carpetright’s strategy and enable the store estate to be ‘fit for the future’ by the end of the 3-year CVA period.

Javelin Group were instrumental in supporting a strategic review of our store estate, enabling us to optimise our network and best leverage CVA agreements. Our long-standing relationship with Javelin Group continues to provide us with the tools and expertise that we require to tactically assess our physical store portfolio.
