Javelin Group appoints Ray Fowler as Associate Director in the Operations consulting practice.

London, 15 October 2014. Javelin Group, Europe’s leading retail strategy consultancy, has appointed Ray Fowler as an Associate Director in the Operations consulting practice. Ray brings a wealth of experience to his role having spent more than 20 years working in retail consulting, most recently for Ernst & Young (EY) where he spent five years in Russia advising major retailers on their ecommerce, multi-channel and supply chain operations across the region. Prior to Russia, Ray worked extensively in the UK and international markets including USA, Asia, Middle East and China. Ray’s breadth of experience in omni-channel, fulfilment and operations will be a significant addition to the Javelin Group team and an asset to clients.

On his new role, Ray commented:

I have lived and worked extensively across the globe and specifically in the emerging markets, helping clients understand the new world technologies and customer experiences in omni-channel. I am an advocate of the connected experience for customers and love working with retailers and other industries to ensure they achieve this goal. In the last ten years, my international engagements have helped retailers adopt multi-channel and best practice service offers in a number of categories including food, fashion, entertainment, electronics and telecoms, and even in the leisure sectors. Interestingly this journey has always been shaped by my involvement in supply chain(s) and the physical operations within the last mile. I am delighted to be joining Javelin Group and I am looking forward to working with the firm’s clients and its highly talented team.
