London, 4 October 2012. SMARTASSISTANT the world’s first product advisory platform launches in London at the Internet Retailing Conference 2012, and announces its partnership with Javelin Group, Europe’s leading specialist firm of retail and omni-channel consultants and systems integrators.
The SMARTASSISTANT platform is the first enterprise-class, cloud-based technology that enables multi-channel retailers to implement guided selling solutions, and provides customers with a product advisory experience online, via mobile and at point of sale. The SMARTASSISTANT platform reinvents the role of a sales advisor and helps to lead the customer through product libraries by simply asking questions. For example “How far will you sit away from your new TV?” or “What equipment do you want to connect to your TV?” Based on the answers given, the SMARTASSISTANT determines the needs of the customer then recommends the most suitable products available. Leading ecommerce companies, including four of the top five central European online retailers and other major companies such as the Otto group, Office Depot and Panasonic, have implemented SMARTASSISTANT and are already benefiting from a significant increase in conversions of 0.5 to 6 percentage points and up to 20 % increase in revenue for categories in which SMARTASSISTANT is deployed.
