The following guidelines are minimum recommended hardware configurations. Actual hardware configurations required will vary depending on user load, data volumes, visual complexity, and other factors.

Very small deployments

User Authentication and Security

Supports Microsoft Active Directory, in addition to the built-in Tableau user system, for user authentication and group membership definitions.

Virtual Environments

• Citrix environments, Microsoft Hyper-V, Parallels, VMware, and Amazon EC2.
• All Tableau products operate in virtualized environments when they are configured with the proper underlying Windows operating system and minimum hardware requirements.
