Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy is widely considered one of Europe's most successful retail strategists. As Javelin Group's Chairman, he provides strategic guidance and sets the direction for our growth. Previously, he spent 20 years as CEO of Kingfisher plc, growing it into one of the largest non-food retailers in Europe including B&Q, Comet/KESA, Superdrug, and Woolworths. He retired from Kingfisher in 2003.
Dr Bryan Mayoh is one of the most experienced home shopping professionals in the UK. Until 1998, he was MD of Littlewoods Home Shopping and grew profits from £40m to £90m over three years. He also launched Index Extra, growing sales to 240m in three years. Prior to this he was MD of Littlewoods Stores, a chain with 130 outlets and sales of £500m.
Since founding Javelin Group, Tony Stockil has managed a wide range of projects for some of Europe's leading retailers, with a primary focus on strategy and multi-channel retailing. He has worked in the retail sector for many years, has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a background in corporate strategy.
Richard Wolff, Javelin Group's co-founder and COO, runs our Multi-Channel Retail & eCommerce practice. He has spent the past 16 years running and advising retail businesses on their non-store channels. Recent clients include Clarks, Mothercare, John Lewis, B&Q and M&S. Richard has an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Will Treasure runs our Retail Operations practice, covering logistics and supply chain, buying and merchandising, store operations, fulfilment and contact centres. He has designed and/or implemented operational and associated technology solutions for more than 50 retailers including B&Q, Carphone Warehouse, Comet, Debenhams, Sainsbury, Tesco, and Waitrose.
Robin Bevan runs our Retail Locations & Shopping Centres practice. He has worked across Europe in all retail sectors for retailers, leading brands and shopping centre owners/developers. His retail property investment experience includes roll-out strategies, refurbishment planning, market entry, geographic channel strategies and shopping centre feasibility studies. Recent clients include BAA, Carphone Warehouse, Goldman Sachs, Gresham Private Equity, Hammerson, Lend Lease, New Look, Nike, Pets At Home and Sony.
Michael Fine runs our Retail Strategy and Commercial & Operational Due Diligence practices. His 20 years’ experience combines investment recommendations for institutional investors with strategy and performance improvement work for retailers and consumer goods brands. Recent clients include private equity firms such as 3i, Blackstone, Bridgepoint, Cinven, Goldman Sachs and Terra Firma, and retailers and brands such as Disney, HMV, Kurt Geiger, New Look, Nike, Noa Noa and Tesco.
Simon Evetts runs our Retail Technology practice covering IT strategy, package selection and implementation for all parts of the retail value chain, from source to customer. In the last 10 years he has helped more than 50 retailers develop their strategy and implement solutions, including Ann Summers, Clarks, Kingfisher, Marks & Spencer, Mothercare and Tesco.
Marie-Axelle Loustalot-Forest, a French national, runs our French office in Paris and has many years of retail, catalogues and ecommerce experience. In the 1990s, Marie-Axelle opened the first outlet stores of Sara Lee in the UK and France, and went on to launch Disney catalogues in Europe. After working for Internet startups in Paris and London, she became head of ecommerce for Staples Europe, managing the ecommerce businesses in Germany and the UK. Following Staples she joined Sephora and launched ecommerce in France and China, and stores in Turkey. Marie-Axelle speaks many European languages, including French, English, Italian, Romanian and German.
