Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy
Chairman
Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy is widely considered one of Europe's most successful retail strategists. As Javelin Group's Chairman, he provides strategic guidance and sets the direction for our growth. Previously, he spent 20 years as CEO of Kingfisher plc, growing it into one of the largest non-food retailers in Europe including B&Q, Superdrug and Woolworths. He retired from Kingfisher in 2003.
Dr Bryan Mayoh
Vice Chairman
Dr Bryan Mayoh is one of the most experienced home shopping professionals in the UK. Until 1998, he was MD of Littlewoods Home Shopping and grew profits from £40m to £90m over three years. He also launched Index Extra, growing sales to £240m in three years. Prior to this he was MD of Littlewoods Stores, a chain with 130 outlets and sales of £500m.
Since founding Javelin Group, Tony Stockil has managed a wide range of projects for some of Europe's leading retailers, with a primary focus on strategy and omni-channel retailing. He has worked in the retail sector for many years, has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a background in corporate strategy.
Richard Wolff, Javelin Group's co-founder and COO, runs our Omni-Channel Retail & eCommerce practice. He has spent many years running and advising retail businesses on their non-store channels. Recent clients include Clarks, Mothercare, John Lewis, B&Q and Marks & Spencer. Richard has an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Will Treasure runs our Operations & Technology Consulting practice. He has designed and/or implemented technology and operational solutions for over 50 retailers, brands and B2Bs including Tesco, ASOS, Delhaize, Mothercare, Waitrose, Spicers and Carphone Warehouse. Prior to Javelin Group Will built and ran Iceland Group's home delivery service, growing a business from start-up to £160m annual sales in 12 months. Will graduated from Oxford with a starred first in Engineering, Economics and Management.
Robin Bevan runs our Retail Locations & Shopping Centres practice. He has 22 years’ experience in retail property, having joined Javelin Group in 2004 from Management Horizons Europe where he spent 15 years, latterly as CEO. Robin’s project experience combines location strategies for retailers, geographic channel strategies for brands, shopping centre strategies for developers and owners, due diligence for private equity investors and commercial space planning for travel hub operators, in 20 countries including: UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia, Turkey, Mexico, USA, Japan, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands... A PPE graduate from Oxford University (1987), Robin also sits on the Research Board of the British Council of Shopping Centres and is a regular speaker at industry events. In addition, Robin worked with PRUPIM in the early 1990s on the original feasibility work for Cribbs Causeway.
Michael Fine runs our Commercial & Operational Due Diligence practice. His 20 years’ experience combines investment recommendations for institutional investors with strategy and performance improvement work for retailers and consumer goods brands. Recent clients include private equity firms such as Permira, Bridgepoint, Cinven and Blackstone, and retailers and brands such as Disney, Kurt Geiger, New Look, Nike, Noa Noa and Tesco.
Fraser Davidson runs our Technology Services practice. Prior to joining Javelin Group, Fraser spent over 20 years at IBM working across most solution areas and industry segments. In 2001 Fraser was appointed to the IBM senior leadership team for northern Europe, where he held a number of executive positions including Director of the Retail & Distribution Industry and Vice President of IBM’s Software Business. Fraser has worked with many of the largest clients in Europe including most of the UK’s largest retailers.
Richard F Wolff, runs our International Retail practice. He brings a wealth of experience to the role following a career spanning 36 years at Marks & Spencer, and most recently Director of Marks & Spencer International where he was responsible for growing the number of international stores to 250 in 30 territories. Local sales turnover was half a billion pounds sterling and the business was highly profitable. Under his direction Marks & Spencer opened stores in territories such as Russia, India, the Middle East, the Far East and Europe. Since then, Richard has helped leading retailers in the UK and across the world with their international retail expansion plans.
Philippe Nobile is the Managing Director of Javelin Group, France (Paris). Prior to Javelin Group, Philippe ran the brand strategy and omni-channel practice at Kurt Salmon, advising luxury brands and retailers on branding, international development and omni-channel 2.0 retail. Prior to this, Philippe spent 11 years at Unilever, where he held executive positions in finance, marketing and media. Philippe has a MBA in Finance from the University of Dauphine (Paris).
