Marks & Spencer

International ecommerce fulfilment strategy for Marks & Spencer.

Javelin Group helped Marks & Spencer to develop its international logistics strategy. This involved:

  • Planning out the best carriage and returns solution for European fulfilment.
  • Identifying all the possible fulfilment solutions for international fulfilment beyond Europe, and recommending which solution will fit M&S best:
    • In-house from the UK.
    • Separate stock holding overseas.
    • Use of outsourced fulfilment partners.
    • In country returns solution.
  • Packaging and labelling.
  • Management of tax and duty.
  • Cost and timeline of implementation.

Javelin Group helped us with our international strategy, short-listing the best markets and planning the right ecommerce and multi-channel approach in each case. They helped us understand the main operational and technical requirements and the likely investment and ROI implications. This was good work by our joint team, much aided by Javelin Group’s multi-disciplinary team and approach.
