Applications Architect
The architect is responsible for the overall technical design of the solution and for making all technical decisions within the project.
This is a highly technical role providing the leadership and technical competence to deliver excellent client solutions. You will work alongside the business analysts, who will write and deliver the functional specification, a project manager who will organise the team and ensure that the projects are delivered to time and budget, and a development team. While there is likely to be limited, if any, hands on development, exceptional development skills are required in order to make sure the optimal solution is designed and that the developers work to the highest standards.
Education
Computer Science degree, 2.1 or above
Work Experience

Business Analyst
The business analyst (BA) is responsible for defining what the solution will do and how it will interface with the users.
You will lead user workshops to capture functional requirements and help to translate them into an easy-to-use solution that delivers those requirements, be responsible for writing and updating the functional and test specifications for the system, and work alongside the technical architect and the project manager to ensure that the system does what the client expects.
Education
Relevant degree, 2.1 or above

Technology Delivery Manager
The Technology Delivery Manager is a senior role managing the full lifecycle of up to four concurrent projects, working closely with the account director (who has overall project responsibility), the architect (who is responsible for technical aspects of the project) and the project manager who is responsible for the day to day execution of the project and management of the team.
You will need to set-up a new projects from scratch without the need for support from a more senior member of the team, and manage much of the relationship with the client. You will be responsible for the financial accountability for delivery and you will create, identify and realise opportunities for on-sell of Javelin Group services.
Projects are typically an implementation of an ecommerce, order management, product information management or integration platform. In all cases, management of business process design and implementation will form a key part of the role.
A willingness to travel and work away from home will be required.
Projects are typically 3-9 months in duration, with a mix of work on client site and in our central London offices.
Responsibilities

Technology Support Manager
The Technology Support Manager leads the solution support team and the delivery of support services to Javelin Group clients. You will establish standard support practices and procedures, manage and recruit the support team, and manage client issues to resolution. It is expected, as a practice head, that the support manager will drive the uptake of new clients on support and grow the support service to a profitable aspect of Javelin Group’s business. In addition, the support manager will work with an account manager to identify on-sell opportunities with support clients as well as having an active role in pre-sales to new clients. Success will be measured by adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), client satisfaction, and revenue contribution of the team. A willingness to work away from home will be required.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivery of all support services to Javelin Group clients including:
- Owning the quality, timeliness and meeting of agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for support services delivered to Javelin Group clients
- Owning the relationship with clients who are on support

Java Lead Developer
The Lead Developer role is the most experienced developer role we recognise at Javelin Group. You will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of technical solutions as part of our client projects. Working closely with a technical architect, business analyst and project manager, you will help to define technical solutions based on client requirements during the early phases of a project to deliver a world class solution.
As the technical lead on a project, you will achieve this by both steering and directly contributing to the development efforts of the team. A technical lead is responsible for the distribution of development work and the quality of the development outcome managed by focusing upon technical dependencies, hands-on coaching and code reviews. Your team may be distributed, with two teams of Javelin developers based in London and Sofia, Bulgaria and third parties involved in projects from different countries, companies and backgrounds.
