Javelin Group is Europe ’s leading specialist ecommerce and retail consultancy. We are based in London with 80 full time staff, and our clients include all the top 10 UK retailers (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Marks and Spencer) and many continental European retailers.
Our consulting model is unique in retail. Rather than focus on a single discipline we combine specialists across multiple skills, from strategy to operations (fulfilment, contact centre, buying & merchandising, supply chain and logistics, store operations) to technology (IT strategy, product selection, implementation) and store locations. Combining these enables us to deliver better-informed, more rounded strategies and solutions to our clients and thus build lasting relationships. It also provides our team with a wide variety of interesting work.
As well as recommending the best solutions and operations to our clients, we also help our clients implement these solutions. This is an increasing part of our business, and we are looking for a programme manager to join our team, to lead implementations with our clients. The split of work for this individual is likely to be about 70% implementation (programme management) and 30% consulting (solution design and development). The role is a business management role, although technology is typically a large part of these implementations.
