Senior direct to consumer logistics consultant

Direct to consumer logistics clients include Sainsbury's, Clarks, Carphone Warehouse, Comet, Fortnum and Mason, HMV, Tesco, Woolworths, B&Q, Sony and many others. Because of continued strong demand for our services (resulting in growth of 30%+ in each of the last 5 years) we are now looking to recruit an exceptional individual.

Role

The role is at senior consultant level: A typical project might be

• Logistics strategy for the launch of online retailer
• Capacity planning and performance improvement for direct to consumer supply chain
• implementation (e.g. design and start of in-house operation, tender for outsourced services)
• WMS selection and implementation

Typical projects are 1-3 months in duration, with a combination of on-site and office based work. Some travel will be required, and some work away from home.

The person will be working as part of a Javelin Group team, led by a Javelin Group director or associate director. Typical team sizes are 2-3 people.

Person Requirements

• 2 years (minimum) experience of direct to consumer logistics
• Exceptionally bright. Good academic background (e.g. A grades at A-level) and highly numerate
• Excellent interpersonal and client facing skills
• Practical, self confident, implementation focussed
• Confident use of MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• Strong desire to work in retail consulting
• Located within commuting distance of London
